Dr. Cox
was born in Houston, TX, however spent most of his adolescent years in Edmond, Oklahoma. He obtained his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Oklahoma City University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. After graduation, Dr. Cox
spent 2 years in Dallas, TX doing research at UT Southwestern Medical School. He then attended the University of Houston College of Optometry. Dr. Cox
received many honors while at UHCO including the distinct honor of being the 2009 AOF- Carl Zeiss Vision Fellow as well as an award for excellence in vision therapy. Dr. Cox
graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry in 2010.
He has worked hand-in-hand with some of the top pediatric vision therapists in the country. His primary interests include working with patients of all ages, diagnosing and treating common ocular conditions (such as glaucoma and cataracts), as well as providing the most medically advanced eye care possible. He has a true empathy towards patients and a wonderful chair side manner. Prior to owning his own practice, he was an associate optometrist in a private practice for two years in Spring, TX. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his son, Cayden, and daughter, Carly, in all of their activities.
Dr. Cox
holds the highest level of licensure granted by the Texas Optometry Board. He currently serves as board member for Harris County Optometric Society. He is an active member of both the Texas Optometry Association and the American Optometric Association.
